Viva La Muerte Blu-ray presents Fernando Arrabal’s shocking and deeply personal work of surrealist cinema, newly restored in 4K from the original negative.

Viva La Muerte Blu-ray follows young Fando as he grapples with trauma, guilt and confusion in the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War. Haunted by the belief that his mother may have betrayed his father to fascist forces, his inner turmoil erupts into a barrage of disturbing, dreamlike imagery. Drawing from Arrabal’s own experiences, the film unfolds as an uncompromising vision of childhood fractured by violence, blending grotesque surrealism with political allegory. The result is a film that is as confrontational as it is visually unforgettable.

A defining work of the Panic Movement co-founder, and once championed by figures like John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Viva La Muerte stands as a landmark of transgressive cinema, now presented on Blu-ray for the first time with a 4K restoration.
