Splendid Outing Blu-ray presents Kim Soo-yong’s haunting and politically charged psychological drama, newly restored in 4K and brought to Blu-ray for the first time.

Splendid Outing Blu-ray follows Gong Do-hee, a successful corporate executive whose seemingly ordinary trip to the seaside takes a disturbing turn after a dream of her deceased twin sister. Abducted and forced into an isolated life by a fisherman who insists she is his wife, her reality fractures into a tense and unsettling exploration of identity, control and survival. Beneath its gripping premise, the film delivers a sharp critique of authoritarian power and social repression, slipping past censorship during one of the most restrictive periods in South Korean cinema.

Featuring a powerful performance from Yoon Jeong-hee, Splendid Outing stands as one of the most daring works of 1970s Korean cinema, blending psychological tension with striking modernist storytelling.
