Federal investigator Eliot Ness assembles a hand-picked team of agents he believes are immune to bribery, launching a calculated assault on Capone’s illegal distilleries. When Capone learns his operation is under threat, the conflict escalates into open warfare, testing Ness’s resolve and the limits of justice in a city ruled by fear.
 
Directed with ruthless efficiency by Phil Karlson, The Scarface Mob is driven by a commanding performance from Robert Stack as the upright and obsessive Ness, paired with a ferocious turn by Neville Brand as an unhinged, volatile Al Capone. Karlson’s stark visual style and blunt narrative approach strip away glamour in favor of tension and moral urgency, positioning the film as a key transitional work between classic film noir and modern crime drama.
