Fighting Back Blu-ray delivers a raw, street-level vigilante thriller born from the crime paranoia of early-1980s urban America. Directed by Lewis Teague and produced in the wake of Death Wish–era outrage cinema, the film captures a city pushed to the breaking point and an ordinary man driven to take justice into his own hands.
 
Set in a crime-ravaged Philadelphia, Tom Skerritt stars as John D’Angelo, a working-class husband and father whose life is shattered when his wife and elderly mother are both victims of brutal attacks. Refusing to remain powerless, John organizes a neighborhood patrol to reclaim the streets. But as fear turns to anger and anger to violence, the patrol’s mission shifts dangerously from community protection to personal vengeance. What begins as resistance spirals into moral collapse, questioning whether vigilante justice can ever remain clean.
 
Written by Thomas Hedley Jr. and David Z. Goodman, and featuring a powerful supporting cast including Patti LuPone in her first film role alongside Yaphet Kotto and Michael Sarrazin, Fighting Back stands as a grim, volatile companion to films like Death Wish and Walking Tall. Arrow Video presents the film on Blu-ray for the very first time, newly restored and loaded with exclusive supplemental material.
