The Early Films of Lee Isaac Chung Blu-ray presents a landmark collection tracing the formative years of one of contemporary American cinema’s most vital voices. Released for the first time ever in North America as a box set, this two-disc edition brings together Lee Isaac Chung’s first three award-winning features, created before his Academy Award–winning breakthrough with Minari. Across these deeply human films, Chung explores displacement, memory, grief, and connection with a quiet rigor that would later define his international acclaim.

The set includes Munyurangabo, a powerful journey through post-genocide Rwanda where friendship is strained by history and inherited trauma; Lucky Life, an intimate meditation on mortality and remembrance shaped by a single beach trip among friends; and Abigail Harm, a poetic, myth-infused portrait of loneliness and longing anchored by a haunting performance from Amanda Plummer. Together, these early works reveal Chung’s emerging mastery of emotional restraint, moral complexity, and lyrical storytelling.

Released by Film Movement, this special limited edition 2-disc Blu-ray set features a spot gloss hard slipcase and slipcover combo designed by Adam Maida, a 40-page perfect bound book, and is strictly limited to 2,000 units.
