L’insatisfaite (1972)

After a young woman’s death is staged as an accident, a wealthy man becomes entangled in a strange cover-up involving identity, deception and a replacement figure drawn into a dangerous family scheme. Pallardy’s debut feature mixes mystery, melodrama and offbeat cult-film energy.

L’amour aux trousses (1974)

Francis, heir to an industrial fortune, retreats to his family’s Corsican estate after personal tragedy and mounting paranoia. As strange events unfold around him, he begins to suspect that someone close may be manipulating him toward a breakdown.

Strange, stylish and unmistakably personal, these two early Pallardy films show the director developing his unusual blend of thriller, melodrama and cult European genre filmmaking. This limited edition Blu-ray set includes both films across two discs, French mono audio, English dubbed audio, trailers, alternate credit sequences, interviews, subtitles and limited spot gloss slipcover.
