Based on Woody Allen’s hit Broadway play, the film stars Allen as Allan Felix, a recently divorced film critic whose romantic insecurity is complicated by imagined advice from Humphrey Bogart’s Casablanca character Rick Blaine.
 
As Allan tries to rebuild his confidence and re-enter the dating world, his friends Linda and Dick offer help, encouragement and complications of their own. What follows is a witty, film-loving comedy about heartbreak, fantasy, friendship and the gap between screen romance and real life.
