Manhunt (1976) Blu-ray presents Jun’ya Satô’s Japanese fugitive thriller in an Australian import region free release. Also known as Hot Pursuit and Kimi yo fundo no kawa wo watare, the film stars Ken Takakura as Fuyuto Morioka, a Tokyo District Public Prosecutor suddenly accused of a crime he did not commit.
 
After escaping arrest in the middle of Shinjuku, Morioka sets out to find the missing witnesses who can clear his name. With Inspector Yamura in pursuit, his search becomes a sprawling chase across Japan filled with danger, conspiracy, narrow escapes and increasingly outrageous turns.
 
Over-the-top, stylish and wildly entertaining, Manhunt became a major cult thriller and one of Ken Takakura’s most memorable international showcases. This Blu-ray edition includes the 150-minute feature, international 117-minute cut, commentary, featurette, restored teaser trailer and English subtitles.
