Incredible But True Blu-ray delivers the deadpan absurdism and off-kilter humour that define director Quentin Dupieux (Rubber, Deerskin). Alain (Alain Chabat) and Marie (Léa Drucker), a comfortable middle-aged couple, move into a quiet suburban home where the estate agent proudly highlights a strange tunnel hidden in the basement. What seems like a harmless curiosity soon begins to warp their sense of time, desire and reality itself.

With its dry wit, surreal conceit and sharp observations on aging, vanity and bourgeois comfort, Incredible But True is an inventive, tightly wound comedy that has been compared to the work of Charlie Kaufman and Spike Jonze. Nimble, strange and deceptively thoughtful, the film perfectly showcases Dupieux’s singular vision as one of contemporary French cinema’s most distinctive voices.
