Crosstalk Blu-ray delivers a stylish and paranoid Ozploitation techno-thriller that fuses surveillance anxiety, murder mystery and sci-fi dread into a singular cult classic.
Confined to a luxury high-rise while working on an advanced surveillance system, wheelchair-bound programmer Ed Ballinger begins noticing increasingly disturbing anomalies in the machine’s output. When the system appears to have witnessed a murder, his obsession with uncovering the truth pulls both man and machine into a spiralling nightmare of technological horror and conspiracy.
Directed by Mark Egerton and Keith Salvat, the film blends Hitchcockian tension, giallo-inflected shocks and early techno-paranoia, building toward a notorious blood-soaked finale. Presented in a new 2K transfer approved by cinematographer Vincent Monton, this release restores one of the standout cult thrillers of 1980s Australian genre cinema.
