Astrid’s Saints Blu-ray presents Mariano Baino’s 2024 folk horror film in a region free release from Severin Films. Arriving thirty years after Dark Waters, Baino’s second feature marks his return to filmmaking with a visually rich and deeply atmospheric story of grief, obsession and spiritual torment.
 
Coralina Cataldi-Tassoni stars as Astrid, an anguished mother drawn into a shadowy realm of summoned saints, guilt and possible absolution. As her journey grows stranger and more intense, the film moves through folk horror, religious imagery and psychological unease toward a confrontation with forces that may either save or condemn her.
 
Co-written, produced and designed by Baino and Cataldi-Tassoni over the course of a decade, with a score composed by Cataldi-Tassoni, Astrid’s Saints is presented on disc for the first time in this worldwide home video premiere. This Blu-ray edition includes commentary, making-of featurette, promo materials, mood videos, short films, trailer and Saint Daniel Martyr card.
