After a traumatic loss, Amanda and her teenage daughter Karli move across the country to start over at a newly purchased bed and breakfast hotel. While Amanda focuses on the pressure of beginning a new business, Karli struggles with leaving her old life behind and adjusting to the remote wilderness around them.
 
When a desperate man named Kyle arrives looking for shelter, his strange behaviour quickly puts them on edge. As the situation grows more dangerous, Amanda and Karli are forced to question whether Kyle is the threat or whether something even worse is closing in around them.
