The Himalayan Blu-ray presents a sweeping martial arts epic from director Huang Feng, blending vengeance, myth, and spiritual discipline into one of the most ambitious kung fu films of the 1970s. Shot in part against the breathtaking landscapes of Nepal, the film pairs expansive scenery with punishing hand-to-hand combat.

Angela Mao stars as a woman falsely accused of adultery by her treacherous brother-in-law and forced into exile. Retreating to the mountains, she dedicates herself to mastering the ancient Tibetan martial art of Mi, transforming hardship into power as she prepares to return and exact her revenge. With action choreography by Sammo Hung, the film delivers relentless physicality alongside its epic scope.

A monumental entry in seventies kung fu cinema, The Himalayan arrives on Blu-ray for the first time, newly restored from the original negative and presented with a strong slate of collector-focused bonus features from 88 Films.
