Picture Of A Nymph Blu-ray presents a beautifully strange blend of fantasy, romance, and supernatural action from 1987 Hong Kong cinema, newly restored in 2K from the original negative. Yuen Biao stars as Shih Erh, a Taoist monk disciple who shelters a young scholar after a battle with demonic forces leaves him homeless and cursed. When the scholar falls in love with a benevolent ghost played by Joey Wang, their fragile romance becomes entangled with dark spirits, ancient magic, and a powerful ghost king determined to claim her soul. Directed by Wu Ma and steeped in the ghostly romantic tradition popularised by A Chinese Ghost Story, the film combines martial arts, folklore, and haunting imagery into a dreamlike cult favourite, now making its definitive Blu-ray debut.
