Softshell Blu-ray presents Jinho Myung’s 2026 indie drama from Factory 25 and OCN Distribution. Shot on 16mm, the film follows Thai-American siblings Jamie and her brother as they navigate grief, family distance and uncertain adulthood after the death of their mother.
 
Looking for a break from New York City, Jamie plans an impromptu trip for the two of them, but the time away and their eventual return home bring unexpected revelations to the surface. As the siblings move through moments of quiet tension, memory and connection, Softshell brings a distinct Asian American perspective to the intimate, observational style of mumblecore cinema.
 
Personal, understated and emotionally textured, Softshell is a sibling story about loss, movement and the fragile ways people try to reconnect. This Blu-ray edition includes a conversation between Andrew Bujalski and Jinho Myung, cast and crew commentary, 16mm short films, booklet, English and Thai subtitles, and a limited slipcover.
