Joan of Arc Blu-ray presents Bruno Dumont’s 2019 French historical drama from KimStim and OCN Distribution. Lise Leplat Prudhomme returns to the title role after first portraying a younger Joan in Dumont’s 2017 film Jeannette. Here, Dumont brings a stark, formally bold approach to Joan’s final journey, pairing historical drama with spiritual intensity and a lush synth soundtrack by singer/songwriter Christophe.
 
Beautifully shot and deliberately removed from traditional biopic structure, Joan of Arc offers a provocative take on faith, power, martyrdom and national myth.
