Aloïse Blu-ray presents Liliane de Kermadec’s 1975 French drama from Several Futures and OCN Distribution, newly restored in 4K by TF1 Studio, La Cinémathèque française and Cinémathèque suisse. The film is a portrait of Swiss outsider artist Aloïse Corbaz, whose visionary work became associated with art brut and whose life was shaped by institutionalization, creativity and inner transformation.

Isabelle Huppert plays the younger Aloïse as a searching, emotionally intense woman, while Delphine Seyrig portrays the elder artist with remarkable force and commitment. Through these dual performances, the film traces Aloïse’s life, imagination and artistic awakening with a rare sense of empathy and formal beauty.

Produced by Paul Vecchiali, Aloïse is an essential rediscovery from post–New Wave French cinema and a key work by Liliane de Kermadec, restored from the original negatives. This Blu-ray edition includes de Kermadec’s short film Qui donc a rêvé?, Abraham Ségal’s Couleurs folie, booklet essays and new artwork by Tyler Rubenfeld.
