Chambermaid Blu-ray presents Mariana Cengel-Solcanská’s 2022 historical drama from Film Movement and OCN Distribution. Set on the brink of the First World War, the film follows Anka, a young woman sent from her Slovakian village to work as a maid in a wealthy Prague household.
 
There, Anka is assigned to care for Resi, the family’s difficult daughter, enduring cruelty, class division and emotional isolation as she tries to find her place in an unfamiliar world. But as Anka begins to see past Resi’s harsh exterior, hidden family secrets and deeper vulnerabilities come to the surface.
 
Against the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Chambermaid becomes a story of power, patriarchy, class and connection, following two women who find solace in each other amid a world shaped by conflict and control. This Blu-ray edition includes a making-of featurette, English subtitles, booklet and a limited slipcover designed by Stepanie Monohan.
