Tony, the son of West Indian immigrants, finds himself caught between two conflicting worlds. While his parents encourage conformity and respectability, his older brother embraces the growing Black Power movement as frustrations over racism, discrimination and limited opportunities continue to mount. As Tony struggles to find his place in British society, he is forced to confront prejudice, police corruption and the harsh realities facing a new generation of Black Britons.
 
Restored in 4K by the BFI National Archive and The Film Foundation, Pressure remains as relevant today as it was upon its original release, standing as a vital and uncompromising portrait of identity, resistance and social injustice.
