When Terry learns he is about to become a father, he responds by uprooting his life and heading to Los Angeles to make and sell a low-budget film. What follows is a spiralling production nightmare as clashing personalities, misguided convictions and escalating incompetence derail both the movie and nearly everything around it. Framed through behind-the-scenes documentary footage, the film blurs mockumentary and satire while taking aim at contemporary filmmaking culture.
