Crash 4K Ultra HD presents David Cronenberg’s controversial and confrontational adaptation of J.G. Ballard’s transgressive novel in a stunning 4K restoration of the uncut NC-17 version. Winner of the Special Jury Prize at the 1996 Cannes Film Festival for originality, daring and audacity, Crash remains one of the most provocative films of the 1990s.

James Spader stars as film producer James Ballard, whose sexual desires are awakened following a near-fatal car accident with Dr. Helen Remington. Alongside his wife Catherine, he is drawn into an underground subculture of car-crash fetishists led by the enigmatic Vaughan. In Cronenberg’s clinical, icy vision, technology, flesh and mortality collide in a disturbing meditation on obsession and modernity.

Presented in 4K with High Dynamic Range, this edition restores the film’s unsettling visual precision and industrial textures with remarkable clarity.
