Set in an alternate Japan where modern technology collides with ancient legend, the film follows samurai outlaw Jigoku and his band of renegades as they uncover the keys to a mythical kingdom of gold.
 
Their quest quickly becomes even more dangerous when they draw the attention of Yuri the Pistol, a beautiful bounty hunter and expert gunslinger who sets off in pursuit. With supernatural ninja warriors, swordplay, guns, comedy and unpredictable fantasy twists, Zipang builds a world where samurai adventure and pop-art spectacle collide.
