Scarlet Street Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD + Region B Blu-ray presents Fritz Lang’s essential 1945 film noir in a dual-format UK import release from the Masters of Cinema Series. Reuniting Edward G. Robinson, Joan Bennett and Dan Duryea after The Woman in the Window, the film follows Christopher “Chris” Cross, a lonely cashier whose chance encounter with Kitty March draws him into obsession, deception and ruin.

Trapped in an unhappy marriage and dissatisfied after 25 years behind a retail counter, Chris becomes infatuated with Kitty after rescuing her from an attack by Johnny Prince. When Kitty mistakes him for a wealthy artist, Chris lets the illusion stand, opening the door for Johnny and Kitty to exploit his longing and trust.

Based on Georges de La Fouchardière’s novel La Chienne, previously adapted by Jean Renoir, Scarlet Street remains one of Fritz Lang’s great American films: a bleak, tragic and psychologically sharp noir about desire, manipulation and moral collapse. This Limited Edition includes the film from a 4K restoration, UHD and Blu-ray presentations, commentary, new video essays, interview, radio anthology episodes and limited packaging.
