Skateboard Blu-ray presents George Gage’s 1978 sports comedy-drama from Factory 25 and OCN Distribution, restored in 2023. One of the first feature films to capture the height of the 1970s skateboarding craze, the film follows a Hollywood agent who finds himself in debt to a powerful bookie and needs a quick way out.
 
To raise the money, he assembles a team of talented skateboarders and enters them in a downhill race with a $20,000 prize on the line. Blending underdog sports-movie energy with real skate culture, Skateboard has often been described as a Bad News Bears-style take on the sport.
 
Starring Alan Garfield, Leif Garrett, Tony Alva and Skateboarding Hall of Fame member Ellen O’Neal, Skateboard is a time capsule of 1970s skateboarding, youth culture and stunt-driven sports cinema.
