Will It Happen Again? Blu-ray presents two provocative anti-fascist documentaries that examine the rise and fall of the Third Reich through archival footage, historical analysis and powerful wartime imagery. Originally produced in the aftermath of World War II, these films were designed to expose the realities behind Nazi propaganda and serve as a warning against authoritarianism.
The 1948 documentary Will It Happen Again? uses footage from Nazi productions, including Triumph of the Will, alongside scenes from the Nuremberg Trials and liberated concentration camps to dismantle the mythology of the Nazi leadership. Decades later, exploitation filmmaker Dwain Esper re-edited the material into Conform or Die, a more graphic and confrontational version that expanded its criticism to include other twentieth-century dictatorships.
Restored from original film elements and archival prints, this collection offers an important historical record while documenting how anti-fascist messaging evolved across different eras of documentary filmmaking.
