The Wages of Sin Blu-ray is a notorious pre-Code style exploitation drama from producer Willis Kent, presented as part of Kino Lorber's Forbidden Fruit series. Combining crime, romance and social melodrama, the film offers a fascinating glimpse into the sensational independent productions that pushed the boundaries of morality and censorship during Hollywood's early years.

Marjorie is a hardworking young laundress whose desire for a brief escape from her difficult life leads her into dangerous territory. After a night of drinking and experimentation, she falls under the influence of a ruthless procurer who lures her into a world of vice, exploitation and corruption. As her situation becomes increasingly desperate, Marjorie must find the strength to escape and seek justice against the man who destroyed her life.

Restored in 4K by the UCLA Film & Television Archive from the original 35mm negatives, The Wages of Sin remains one of the most polished and compelling examples of classic exploitation cinema, culminating in a remarkably unconventional courtroom finale.
