Undertaker Blu-ray presents Naoyoshi Kawamatsu’s independent Japanese zombie film, a bleak and emotional horror story set in the aftermath of a deadly viral outbreak. Blending dystopian survival horror with a mournful coming-of-age journey, Undertaker follows a young survivor searching for meaning in a world overrun by the infected.
 
After losing his family and friends to the outbreak, Ryouichi becomes assistant to an Undertaker: a person hired by grieving families to put infected loved ones to rest. Armed with a modified shovel and a bag, he travels through the ruins of Japan, carrying out a grim duty while offering proof and closure to those left behind.
 
Both intimate and apocalyptic, Undertaker uses its zombie-ravaged setting to tell a moving story about loss, responsibility and survival. This Synapse Films Blu-ray includes newly translated removable English subtitles, a making-of featurette, deleted scenes, a short film and more.
