Lundgren stars as Lt. Nikolai Rachenko, a Soviet Special Forces soldier sent to infiltrate an African rebel uprising and assassinate its anti-Communist leader. When the mission fails, Nikolai is captured, tortured and forced into a desperate escape across hostile terrain.
 
On the run and aided by an African bushman, Nikolai begins to question the side he has been fighting for. Returning to the conflict with a new purpose, he joins the rebel forces and turns his training against his former comrades. Featuring M.
