Time-Bending Mysteries of Shahram Mokri Blu-ray brings together four of the Iranian filmmaker’s most daring and structurally inventive works, exploring time, memory, repetition, and fate through looping narratives and hypnotic formal design. Across mystery, horror, science fiction, and deadpan comedy, Mokri bends cinematic time into spirals, echoes, and Moebius strips that challenge linear storytelling and reward deep attention.
 
The set includes CARELESS CRIME, a layered meditation on history and cinema inspired by the 1978 Cinema Rex fire, unfolding across interlocking timelines that blur past, present, and fiction. FISH & CAT, Mokri’s breakout film, is a single-shot nightmare that circles a lakeside gathering with slasher-movie menace filtered through art-house abstraction. ASHKAN, THE CHARMED RING AND OTHER STORIES presents his debut feature, a black-and-white mosaic of fatalistic vignettes infused with dry humor and coincidence. INVASION moves into futuristic territory, combining detective fiction, vampire mythology, and science fiction inside a disorienting, enclosed sports arena.
