The Shaw Brothers studio never shied away from pushing genre boundaries, and their horror output of the 1980s remains some of their most eclectic and daring. This collection showcases three distinct supernatural tales ranging from demonic possession to cursed homes, ghostly vengeance, blind prophets, wartime atrocities, cannibalism, and the dark wages of greed. Each film has been newly scanned and restored from its original 35mm camera negative with original film-sourced soundtracks and fresh English subtitle translations.
 
SEX BEYOND THE GRAVE (1984)
A compulsive mahjong gambler ignores the warnings of a blind peddler and sells his ancestral home—unaware it was the site of a brutal wartime assault and carries a vengeful spirit. When his friend’s family moves in and their child is dragged into a haunted well, the fight to reclaim him reveals the ghost’s violent history. Influenced by Poltergeist and infused with sleaze, supernatural mayhem, and Shaw-style drama, the film stars Tony Liu, Kuan-Chung Ku, and Mabel Kwong.
