The Last Screening aka Derniere Seance 2011 Blu-ray presents Laurent Achard’s unsettling psychological giallo horror film in its worldwide high-definition debut, newly restored in 2K from the original 35mm camera negative.

Sylvain is a devoted projectionist and caretaker of a soon-to-close art house cinema whose life revolves almost entirely around film. Each night he screens classic 35mm prints for dwindling audiences, but once the final reel ends, his obsession begins spilling into increasingly disturbing real-world rituals.

Blending cinephilia, repression and psychological decay with elements of giallo and slasher cinema, The Last Screening draws inspiration from films including Peeping Tom, Deep Red and Maniac. This Death Nerve Video release also marks the first time the film has been distributed outside its home country and includes new interviews, commentary, essays, archival material and raw behind-the-scenes footage.
