The Head 2019 Blu-ray delivers a bizarre mix of horror, dark comedy and lo-fi exploitation from co-writer and director Michael Keene. Shot with a deliberately grimy, VHS-era aesthetic, the film follows an aimless young man whose life takes a grotesque turn after an encounter with a mysterious disembodied head.
 
Peter is an immature drifter caught between a dysfunctional home life and his obsession with a local punk rocker. After hearing a woman’s voice calling for help, he discovers something far stranger than expected: a telekinetic mannequin head with an appetite for blood.
 
What follows is an increasingly surreal descent into murder, obsession and body-horror absurdity.
