The Ghost Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray presents Riccardo Freda’s 1963 Gothic horror film in a UK import release. Reuniting Freda with Barbara Steele after The Horrible Dr Hichcock, the film follows Margaret, a woman trapped in a decaying Scottish estate with her wealthy, wheelchair-bound husband, Dr. John Hichcock.
Together with her lover, Dr. Charles Livingstone, Margaret plots to murder her husband and claim his fortune. But after John’s death, their scheme begins to collapse when the inheritance disappears and the estate becomes plagued by ghostly apparitions, séances and mounting paranoia.
Blending murder, betrayal, supernatural terror and Gothic atmosphere, The Ghost remains a chilling classic of Italian horror. This Limited Edition features a 4K restoration of the long-lost original camera negative by Severin Films, with 4K UHD and Blu-ray presentations, Italian and English mono audio, commentary, newly filmed interview portrait, visual essay, soundtrack featurette, trailer, booklet and limited edition packaging.
