The Saragossa Manuscript LE 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray presents Wojciech Has' visionary fantasy epic in a stunning new 4K restoration. Widely regarded as one of the greatest films ever produced in Poland, this surreal masterpiece blends gothic horror, adventure, comedy, romance and philosophical fantasy into an unforgettable cinematic experience that has been championed by filmmakers including Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola.

At the height of the Napoleonic Wars, a Polish soldier takes refuge in a deserted house near the Spanish city of Saragossa and discovers a mysterious manuscript written in an unfamiliar language. When enemy officers arrive, one of them realises the text recounts the extraordinary adventures of his grandfather, Alfonse Van Worden. As the manuscript is translated, an intricate tale unfolds, weaving together strange encounters, supernatural mysteries and stories within stories across a shifting landscape of time and imagination.

A landmark achievement in European cinema, The Saragossa Manuscript remains a dazzling exploration of storytelling itself and a testament to Wojciech Has' boundless creativity and visual imagination.
