The Bird With The Crystal Plumage Standard Edition 4K Ultra HD presents Dario Argento’s groundbreaking 1970 debut in a stunning 4K restoration from the original negative by Arrow Films. A defining work of the giallo genre, this stylish and shocking thriller launched Argento onto the international stage and reshaped Italian horror cinema.

American writer Sam Dalmas (Tony Musante) is living in Rome when he witnesses a brutal attack inside a modern art gallery. Trapped between glass doors and powerless to intervene, he becomes obsessed with the crime. Convinced that he saw a vital clue his mind cannot fully grasp, Sam begins his own investigation, placing himself and his girlfriend Giulia (Suzy Kendall) directly in the killer’s path.

Featuring lush cinematography by Vittorio Storaro and an unforgettable score by Ennio Morricone, The Bird With The Crystal Plumage established the visual flair, elaborate set pieces and psychological tension that would define Argento’s career.
