Picking up a year after their second-place finish in the North Valley League, the sequel sends the Bears on the road for another underdog adventure.
 
When the team earns a chance to face the Houston Toros and potentially advance to play the Japanese champions, the Bears devise a plan to make it all the way to Houston and the Astrodome. Along the way they gain a coach, lose a coach, bring in a new pitcher struggling with his fastball and find some unexpected help as they battle toward another comeback.
