Save the Green Planet Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD marks the long-awaited return of Jang Joon-hwan’s genre-shattering cult classic with a director-approved 4K restoration and an expansive Arrow Video collector’s package.

Released in 2003 alongside landmarks like Oldboy and Memories of Murder, Save the Green Planet! stands as one of the most audacious debuts in Korean cinema. Equal parts science fiction paranoia, pitch-black comedy, psychological horror, and social satire, the film follows Byeong-gu, a factory worker convinced that a powerful businessman is an alien invader plotting Earth’s destruction. His solution is as unhinged as it is desperate: kidnap, interrogate, and torture the man to uncover the truth before humanity is wiped out.

Anchored by a ferocious performance from Shin Ha-kyun and a chilling turn by Baek Yoon-sik, Save the Green Planet! walks a razor’s edge between absurdity and tragedy, constantly challenging the viewer’s grip on reality. This Limited Edition release presents the film in Dolby Vision 4K Ultra HD alongside a wealth of new and archival supplements that explore its creation, legacy, and enduring cult status.
