Office Killer 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray marks the UHD debut of Cindy Sherman’s singular and subversive slasher satire, newly restored in 4K from its original 35mm camera negative. The only feature film directed by the internationally acclaimed photographer, this darkly comic thriller skewers corporate culture and suburban isolation with deadpan perversity.
 
Carol Kane stars as Dorine, a meek proofreader forced to work from home after company downsizing. Trapped between a stifling office hierarchy and a joyless domestic life caring for her cruel mother, Dorine accidentally electrocutes a coworker—and discovers a startling solution to her loneliness. Relocating the body to her basement, she begins assembling a macabre circle of “friends,” methodically dispatching colleagues and strangers alike while maintaining the appearance of normalcy.
 
Bleakly funny and visually stylized, Office Killer pairs Sherman’s carefully composed imagery with a moody score by Lounge Lizards co-founder Evan Lurie. Featuring Molly Ringwald, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Barbara Sukowa, and Eric Bogosian, this criminally underseen 1990s oddity finally receives the deluxe presentation it deserves.
