Lucky Luciano LE Blu-ray presents Francesco Rosi’s 1973 crime drama in a UK import limited edition from Indicator. Blending mob biopic, political thriller and procedural investigation, the film stars Gian Maria Volonté as Charles “Lucky” Luciano, alongside Rod Steiger and Edmond O’Brien.
 
After Luciano is released early from a U.S. prison and deported to Naples, FBI agent Charles Siragusa begins working to dismantle his transatlantic criminal network. As informants, law enforcement and underworld interests collide, the film builds a sharp portrait of organized crime, postwar power and political complicity.
 
Co-written by Tonino Guerra, with cinematography by Pasqualino De Santis and music by Piero Piccioni, Lucky Luciano is a cool, intelligent and politically charged work from one of Italian cinema’s great filmmakers. This UK import LE Blu-ray includes three presentations of the film, a 4K restoration, archival television material, new critical appreciation, trailer, gallery, booklet and more.
