Disappearance Blu-ray presents Walter Klenhard’s 2002 made-for-TV desert thriller in a Region A limited edition release from Iconoscope. Newly scanned and restored in 4K from the 35mm original camera negative, the film stars Harry Hamlin and Susan Dey as parents whose family road trip turns into a nightmare after they discover a ghost town that should not exist.
 
While driving through the Nevada desert, the Henley family stops to photograph an abandoned town called Weaver, found only on an old map. The locals claim they have never heard of it, and the deeper the family explores, the more it seems that something dangerous still lingers there.
 
Creepy, atmospheric and driven by eerie desert isolation, Disappearance uses the Australian outback as a stand-in for the American Southwest, creating a tense supernatural mystery with cinematography by David Connell and music by Shirley Walker. This Blu-ray edition includes a new 4K scan and restoration, two commentaries, trailers, still gallery, booklet, reversible sleeve artwork and limited hard slipcase plus slipcover packaging.
