When a laboratory accident sparks a lethal viral outbreak, authorities scramble to contain the situation while keeping the truth buried. With the head scientist missing, Captain Kirk is sent in to manage the crisis, only to discover that Dr. Adams has been transformed into a blood-drinking mutant. As quarantines tighten and bodies begin to surface bearing strange burns, the race is on to stop the creature before the situation spirals beyond control.

Directed by Tonino Ricci under his pseudonym Anthony Richmond, Bakterion is a pulpy Italian-Spanish co-production packed with outrageous set pieces and practical effects. Starring David Warbeck and Janet Ågren, the film delivers unapologetic monster mayhem, now presented by Vinegar Syndrome in a deluxe UHD edition loaded with new extras.
