Allegedly inspired by the life of Marilyn Monroe, The Goddess examines the human cost of celebrity with a sharp, unsentimental edge. Chayefsky received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay, while Kim Stanley delivers the central performance in this tragic rise-to-fame story.
