Solvent Blu-ray delivers a claustrophobic descent into historical horror and existential dread from boundary-pushing filmmaker Johannes Grenzfurthner. Set almost entirely within a decaying rural structure, the film fuses slow-burn terror with philosophical unease, confronting the lingering rot of the past and the violence it continues to inflict on the present.

An American expat joins a small team tasked with searching an abandoned Austrian farmhouse for hidden Nazi documents. As they dig deeper into the property, the mission takes a horrific turn when a long-buried secret is uncovered beneath the house itself. What emerges is not merely historical guilt, but an ancient and ravenous force determined to consume anyone who disturbs it.

Anchored by an unsettling performance from Jon Gries and directed with relentless control, Solvent is an oppressive, hallucinatory experience that resists easy interpretation. Film Movement presents the film on Blu-ray with a limited edition slipcover and contextual supplements.
