Nikkatsu Erotica - Volume One Limited Edition Hardbox Blu-ray presents two landmark 1970s Japanese films from director Tatsumi Kumashiro in a 2-disc region free release from Imprint Asia. This first volume collects Wet Desire, also known as Ichijo’s Wet Lust, and Lovers Are Wet, both key works from Nikkatsu’s influential Roman Porno era.

Wet Desire (Ichijo’s Wet Lust) (1972)
Tatsumi Kumashiro’s acclaimed drama stars Sayuri Ichijō as a former Osaka performer now running a sushi shop while awaiting her day in court after a controversial farewell performance. The film is presented here in a 1080p high-definition Blu-ray edition with commentary and a new critical featurette.
 
Lovers Are Wet (1973)
A young man named Katsu arrives in a rural seaside town and begins working at a movie theatre. As questions about his past begin to surface, the wife of the cinema owner becomes increasingly drawn to his mystery. Kumashiro’s film is widely regarded as one of the defining works of Nikkatsu’s 1970s output.
 
Collected in a limited edition hardbox of 1,500 copies, Nikkatsu Erotica - Volume One showcases two major works of Japanese adult-themed art cinema with high-definition presentations, new commentaries, newly produced featurettes, Japanese audio and English subtitles.
