Jodorowsky’s Dune Blu-ray presents Frank Pavich’s acclaimed 2013 documentary on one of cinema’s most legendary unrealized films. In 1974, Alejandro Jodorowsky began work on an ambitious adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune, assembling a dream team that included Orson Welles, Mick Jagger, David Carradine, Salvador Dalí, Pink Floyd, H.R. Giger and Jean “Moebius” Giraud.
 
For two years, Jodorowsky and his team of “spiritual warriors” created thousands of storyboards, paintings, costumes and designs for a psychedelic sci-fi epic that was intended to transform cinema. Though the film was never made, its influence would echo through generations of science fiction and fantasy filmmaking.
 
Featuring interviews with Jodorowsky, H.R. Giger, Gary Kurtz, Nicolas Winding Refn and others, Jodorowsky’s Dune explores the full story behind “The Greatest Movie Never Made.” This Australian import Region Free Blu-ray edition includes deleted scenes, new and archival interviews with director Frank Pavich, a feature on Moebius’ Dune artwork and trailer.
