House of Cards Blu-ray delivers a stylish international conspiracy thriller directed by John Guillermin. Combining Hitchcockian suspense with globe-trotting intrigue, this late-1960s mystery places George Peppard at the centre of a dangerous plot stretching from Paris to Rome.

Peppard stars as Reno Davis, an American boxer living in Paris whose life takes an unexpected turn when he is hired by the enigmatic Anne de Villemont (Inger Stevens) to look after her young son. What begins as a simple job quickly spirals into a web of international espionage and hidden agendas.

As Reno begins to uncover the truth, he finds himself pursued across Europe by shadowy figures connected to a powerful conspiracy. His search eventually leads him to Rome, where he confronts the sinister mastermind Leschenhaut, played with sinister charm by Orson Welles.

With vibrant Technicolor cinematography and a memorable score by Francis Lai, House of Cards delivers suspense, mystery and stylish European locations in a gripping thriller from the director of The Blue Max and P.J.
