The Cushing Curiosities Blu-ray collection compiles six rarely seen, long-unavailable and genre-bending works from the legendary Peter Cushing. Spanning thrillers, dramas, television mysteries and eccentric horror comedies, this set showcases Cushing’s range far beyond his Hammer persona. The collection includes the aviation thriller Cone of Silence, the cold-war drama Suspect, and the noir-tinged The Man Who Finally Died. It also restores the six surviving episodes of Cushing’s 1968 BBC Sherlock Holmes series, newly presented with commentaries and archival materials. Bloodsuckers appears in its extended version for the first time, shedding new light on its strange and often-misunderstood reputation. The set concludes with Tender Dracula, an offbeat, erotic gothic comedy featuring Cushing in his only portrayal of a vampire. Featuring over sixteen hours of interviews, commentaries, archival footage, location pieces and more, plus a new 200-page book by historian Jonathan Rigby, this collection offers an expansive portrait of Cushing’s craft and curiosity across three decades of film and television.
