Without Apparent Motive LE Blu-ray brings Philippe Labro’s stylish Euro-thriller to Blu-ray for the first time in the U.S. through Vinegar Syndrome Labs.

The wealthy citizens of Nice are gripped by fear when a sniper begins murdering seemingly random victims in broad daylight. As panic spreads across the French Riviera, Inspector Carella relentlessly investigates the baffling killings while political pressure, media attention and uncooperative elites threaten to derail the case. With no obvious connection between the victims, Carella must uncover the truth before the mysterious killer strikes again.

Blending the procedural intensity of the French policier with the atmosphere and violence of the Italian giallo, Without Apparent Motive adapts Ed McBain’s novel Ten Plus One into a tense and elegant thriller filled with paranoia, mystery and moral ambiguity. Featuring Jean-Louis Trintignant, Dominique Sanda and a haunting Ennio Morricone score, the film stands as a fascinating Eurocrime gem of the early 1970s.
