The Savage Hunt Of King Stakh Blu-ray presents a haunting folk-horror rediscovery, newly restored in its extended Director’s Cut for its first-ever U.S. release. Blending supernatural mystery with gothic melancholy, the film draws on northern European folklore to create an atmosphere of dread steeped in myth, madness, and decay.

A young scholar of ancient legends arrives at the isolated estate of Marsh Firs to investigate the bloody tale of King Stakh, a murdered fifteenth-century nobleman whose spectral hunt is said to thunder through the surrounding woods. As his stay lengthens, the boundaries between legend and reality erode, giving way to disturbing visions, whispered conspiracies, and a mansion seemingly possessed by its own past.

Based on the novel by Belarusian writer Uladzimir Karatkievich, the film evokes the uneasy spirit of classic folk horror while forging its own surreal identity. Restored from the original film elements, this release finally brings Valeri Rubinchik’s long-unavailable cult classic to Blu-ray with an extensive slate of new bonus features.
