Valerio is a struggling reporter with a failed marriage, a distant son and deep frustration with his place in the world. When a serial killer begins sending announcements to the newspaper before carrying out a series of murders, Valerio sees the story as the opportunity he has been waiting for.
 
As he uses the case to raise his profile and improve his standing, Valerio risks drawing himself dangerously close to the killer. Written by Sergio Donati and featuring a score by Ennio Morricone, The Monster arrives on home video for the first time outside Italy in this Radiance Films limited edition.
